Gor Mahia’s bad start to the season continued with the 1 – 2 loss to Madagascan champions CNaPS on Saturday 13 February in the CAF Champions League clash staged at the Nyayo National Stadium.
The game was a repeat of last year’s encounter between the two sides at the same stage as Gor Mahia won 1 – 0 and the CNaPS coach Rabeharisoa Herybe is elated to get one over Gor Mahia.
He had a succeful strategy in the match and in the end it worked well. He termed it a sweet revenge after Gor Mahia eliminated his side in the 2015 edition and he lauded his charges for a good output.
“It is sweet revenge for us and I am so happy with the win we got here today. We worked hard, reduced our mistakes and made use of the chances we got. I am proud of my players for what they put out here today.
“We had our game strategy; we did not want to come and sit back and defend. It is sweet revenge for us after they beat us last year and I am so happy with the win,” he said.
