Former Kaizer Chiefs striker Pollen Ndlanya is disillusioned with the side’s poor form in scoring goals recently.
“A lot was expected from Abraw when he arrived at Chiefs, but he has not really delivered as his game lacks consistency,” Ndlanya told Goal.com
“Strikers are always judged with how many goals they score and for me he has not done enough for the team,” he said.
Steve Komphela has taken the brunt for Amakhosi’s lack of silverware this season, and for failing to produce goals or entertainment to the level that his style claimed to. However Ndlanya picks out Abraw’s failure in the business end.
“The club signed him to give them goals and win matches, but he has not done enough up to this stage and he must improve his performance. He needs to score goals and help Chiefs improve.”
The Togo striker has just scored four goals in 16 PSL games.
“Chiefs as a team have not been consistent this season and maybe the coach might make big changes at the end of the season,” added Trompies.
“There are matches where they rose to the occasion and done very well, but in other matches they have been disappointing like their last three matches,” said Ndlanya to Goal.
