Muho – Police Shield game abandoned

Venues for five GOtv matches have been moved
The GOtv Shield round of 16 clash pitting Muhoroni Youth FC against Police FC on Sunday 11 October ended in premature fashion as an attack of the referee caused abndonment on the 80th minute.

At the time of abandonment, the game was balanced at 1 – 1.

Police FC, the visitors had an early advantage aftyer starting the game well and got the opener on the 21st minute through Kennedy Apollo’s goal after receiving the assist from David Odhiambo.

Wycliffe Ochomo had a good attempt on the 40th minute that the Police keeper parried out for a corner.

Muho coach Paul Nkata introduced Edmond Murai in place of Mike Khaduli and the impact was immediate with Muho pushing the visitors hard and on the 76th minute Murai got the leveler.

Muho were coastin g to a routine win when on the 80th minute David Okiki handled the ball in the box and the referee immediately pointed to the spot. The Police coach would however not let the hosts take the spot kick as he rushed to the pitch and physically attacked the referee.

It took half an hour for the ref to get treatment and in the end he called off the match.
A decision on the game will be delivered on Monday 12 October.
