Former AFC Leopards midfielder Peter Opiyo may just get another chance with the team in the 2016 season should talks between the player and club end in success.
Opiyo left the club at the start of the 2014 season for greener pastures in Finland with FF Jaro where he signed a two year deal.
The deal expired at the end of the 2015 season and he is currently in Kenya, unattached. He says he has had approach from AFC Leopards and is considering the offer, albeit on a short term.
“I am currently a free agent after the end of my contract with FF Jaro last season and I might be around for some time. AFC Leopards approached me over a return, which I am open to and we will be holding talks maybe tomorrow.
“If we reach an agreement I will be around on a short term deal,” he said.
Opiyo scored the only goal for AFC Leopards as Ingwe beat arch rivals Gor Mahia 1 – 0 to win the 2013 GOtv Shield.
