Enyimba won’t drop points at home again – Onyekachi

Ahead of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) week 14 match against Lobi Stars of Makurdi, Enyimba’s forward Peter Onyekachi has warned that the Aba Elephants will not drop any more points at home this season.

Lobi have lost just once in their last five games with two wins and two draws while they have in their Arsenal the prolific Anthony Okpotu who is currently the league’s joint topscorer with seven goals but Onyekachi is adamant that the current league champions will come away with the three points at stake this afternoon.

“I know they will come out on us but they will surely fail because we are not dropping any points at home again,” he said.

“I believe with hardwork we will beat Lobi. They are a good side but if we can play as a team, they are beatable.”

The 22-year-old revealed that the team is still disappointed with their last home draw against Heartland in the Oriental derby.

“It was disappointing to draw against Heartland at home despite giving our best but we are focused for the game against Lobi because we want to win and win well.”

Lobi are currently placed fifth on the NPFL log with 21 points while Enyimba sit 18th with 13points but have four games in hand.
