Real Madrid offer for Serbian star rejected

Jovica Zivkovic, the father to Partizan Belgrade midfielder Andrija Zivkovic has revealed that he has rejected a deal for his son to move to Spanish giants Real Madrid.

Jovica confirms the Spanish side has offered him €15 million for a loan move for the player but stated that a loan deal for his son will not be acceptable. As posted by, he says accepting that will be allowing his son to be used as a toy.

“One of the biggest clubs in the world, the most famous club in the world, Real Madrid offered me €15 million to sign the player. But to send him on loan! I refused.

“I will not destroy the career of the child because of money. Nobody wants to destroy the life of a child and play with him as he pleases, as if he’s a toy,” Zivkovic senior said.

The player’s deal at the Serbian club expires at the end of the current season and the club is looking to have him sign a new deal to maximize on his cost and while his father is confident a new deal will be agreed, he believes his son is not paid what he deserves at the club.

Zivkovic, who in the recent past has been linked with Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal became Serbia’s youngest ever international player after he led the Under-20 side to Fifa World Cup glory in the summer.
