The Coal City of Enugu will host one of the biggest rivalries in Nigeria club football on Friday night as the Oriental Derby pitches Enugu Rangers against Heartland in the first installment of the NPFL Match Day 19 ties.

Rangers are occupying top spot going into the game billed for the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium and they will be keen to conquer their regional rivals who initially protested against the Friday night contest.

The Flyimg Antelopes go into this season with the ambition of lifting their first league diadem since 1984 and they are thus condemned to give a good display against the Naze Millionaires who have not been at their very best this season

“The game with Heartland FC is always  big game and we must approach the game with all the seriousness it deserves . So much has been done within the last few days and we are confident we can build on our last win over Ikorodu United” Foster Chime, the media officer for the Flying Antelopes declared.

Despite their shaky start to the season, Heartland who are fifteenth on the log have showed up in the derby clashes as they last time held Enyimba to a 1-1 draw in Umuahia.

Heartland FC Captain, Chinedu Efugh has promised that they will go all out to get at least a point in the Friday night clash which is the 25th Oriental Derby in 13 years.
