Ulinzi Stars will miss the services of left – back Omar Mbongi in the 24th round of matches in the Kenyan Premier League (KPL), the league management has confirmed in a communique to media houses.
This comes after the team’s Wednesday 7 September catch up match against Sony Sugar at the Awendo Green Stadium.
The defender picked his fifth yellow card of the season, which rules him out of the team’s next game, against Sofapaka at the Afraha Stadium on Sunday 11 September.
By the suspension, the defender will join four other players on the suspended players’ roster for the 24th round.
The other players suspended are Thika United’s Dennis Odhiambo and Eugene Mukangula who are on red cards; Tusker FC’s George Mandela who is also on a red card and Gor Mahia defender Karim Nizigiyimana who is one five yellow cards for the season.
