Marco Silva, Olympiacos coach is very excited with his team’s vital UEFA Champions League away win at Zagreb following a late goal by Nigerian striker Brown Ideye.
Ideye scored from an almost impossible angle as the Greek champions built on their Arsenal win with another away victory.
Speaking after the hard-earned away win, Coach Silva said he was proud of the outcome of the game even as he congratulated Ideye and his teammates for their display
“I said before the match that it would be very difficult for us and that we are not the clear favourites like most people thought”. The Olympiacos coach began.
He continued: “We tried to prepare for this game as best as we could and we managed to achive our goal and to win the match”.
“I have to congratulate my players. The goal is a result of our work and I am proud on it. I am proud how Olympiacos played tonight”.
Scoring in three successive games, Ideye is sure enjoying life with the Greek champions after a torrid time in England with West Brom.
