Nigerian youngster Olajide Owolabi is the subject of interest from Portuguese Primeira Liga side, Sporting Braga and Italian Serie A side, Carpi, fcnaija.com understands.
The 20-year old was earlier reported to be on his way to Braga, after they held preliminary discussions with his representatives, but they somewhat cooled their interest thereafter.
However, with the January transfer window winding down, fcnaija.com understands Braga have re-entered the race to sign him, after it emerged Serie A club, Carpi were also interested.
The Nigeria U23 attacker is currently with Nyokobing, where he is on loan from HB Koge, and was formerly with Midjtylland, all in Denmark.
Fcnaija.com has gotten across to the player’s representatives, and while they confirmed that he is attracting interests, they however refused to disclose the identity of the club.
“We have some interested clubs at the moment but I cannot confirm their identities to you until we have something concrete but we should know soon,” the player’s agent, Ralph Ayo said.
