Dream Team VI striker speaks on Danish league resumption

Nigeria attacker Jide Owolabi is confident his club, Nyokobing can start the second round of the Danish first division on a winning note.

Nyokobing and their Nigerian import start the second half of the Danish first division with a home fixture against struggling Middelfart and Owolabi says they have prepared well enough for the second round and they expect to resume with a win.

“We are ready for the first game of the second round of the season,” he told fcnaija. “We have been training hard and working hard to make sure we are better in the second round which I think we are all ready for,” he said.

The 20-year old who is expected to feature in the game, however predicted a tough encounter against their opponents, as he said it will be a ‘great fight’ between both clubs for the points at stake.

“I think it will be a great fight and playing against a team like Middelfart won’t be easy, but it is one of the reasons we have been working hard.”

The Nigeria Under-23 prospect also added that they hope to win the game despite the challenges they expect.

“Getting all three points from this game is important and we understand that and we will surely be hoping to get them.

“We know we have to resume the league on a very strong note and that is exactly what we will try to do when the game comes and hopefully we will get what we want at the end of it,” he added.
