Obiora Ends 4 year‎ goal drought












Super Eagles midfielder Nwankwo Obiora was on target in Academica’s 1-1 draw against Moreirense in an ill tempered game that saw eight yellow card issued on Sunday.

The goal‎ ended a four year goal drought and it was his first goal for the club in 35 league games since he joined last year‎.

Obiora who last scored ‎a league in the colours of Gubbio in the 2011/12 season in the Serie B scored in the 15th minute of the encounter to den his side their second win of the season as they remained in the relegation zone.

Obiora has played all eight games for Academica this season who are 17th on log with five points from nine games.

The former Inter Milan and FC Cluj of Romania star has 13 international caps for the Super Eagles and alongside Kenneth Omeruo was left out of the squad to face Swaziland in a fort night.
