Samson Siasia will submit a list of over 40 players to the Nigeria Football Federation today ahead of the football event of the Olympic Games.
The Nigeria under-23 coach will submit a provisional list of players to the NFF, for onward submission to the ministry of sports and the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC).
The list is expected to have a combination of both the home based and overseas based players that Siasia could take to the games, with the NOC having a deadline of April 29th to submit the list, as well as that of the entire Team Nigeria, to FIFA and the International Olympic Committee.
Siasia will then have a deadline of June 1 to submit another provisional list, this time, of not more than 35 players.
The final deadline for the submission of the final 18-man list is July 14. The final list will have two goalkeepers and another four alternate players that will include one goalkeeper.
Fcnaija had exclusively revealed last week that the likes of Kenneth Omeruo, Alex Iwobi and Kelechi Iheanacho had been included in the original list drawn up by Siasia with the trio expected to make the final cut all things being equal.
