Nigerian midfielder Nelson Marasowe will be the only player ineligible to feature on the ninth week of the Kenyan Premier League (KPL), after the Ushuru FC man picked two yellow cards in the match against Gor Mahia the last time out.
The midfielder was sent off after the match as the referee in the game, Japheth Juma, realized that he had booked him twice but did not show him a red card.
The suspension will pass as a blow to both the player and club after he missed the start of the season owing to problems with his work permits and relevant paperwork.
The match against Gor Mahia was just his second in the season.
His sending off was the third for Ushuru FC this season after red cards to goalkeeper Ali Kimera on the opening day of the season and Jackton Onjala in the game agaiunst Sony Sugar.
His suspension sees him miss the game against joint league leaders AFC Leopards, scheduled for Sunday 17 April at the Nyayo National Stadium.
