Nigerians took to the social media after the Sunday Oliseh led Super Eagles fell to an embarrassing 2-0 defeat against Congo DR in an international friendly played in Belgium.
The fans were obviously angered by the lack of spirit shown by the team. Alex Iwobi was handed his debut along Ndidi who had his senior team bow but the defeat took center stage in the minds of the Super Eagles faithful’s as they blasted the team for their lackluster display.
“My comment? Well, my brother in law said the match was cancerous to the eyes. I’m actually too stunned to make a comment now but what I watched wasn’t inspiring at all…was there any tactical play? Bimbo Adeola, a Lagos based radio based wrote.
The media officer of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), Jubril Arowolo sarcastically asked after the match: “…please, no laughing matter..when is the Super Eagles playing Congo DR friendly?”

Wale Akinremi: “We lost to poor pitch. The rain didn’t help matters; the officiating was biased. I still dey laf ni o.”
In his own reaction, Olayunus Ola said: “We no want watch nigerian march again Hmm dis oliseh again abi we go see am smal time he go dey play all dis march with him brothers now.
Otunba Gbenga Sodun said: “There was no tactical play at all from Eagles. Oliseh has a lot of work to do in every department on the field, if he will still be in charge of super Eagle. Let us give him another chance against Cameroon to prove Himself the more.”
