Tottenham Hotspurs have so far enjoyed a good season, continuing from where the Londoners stopped at in the 2015/16 season and the club’s manager Mauricio Pochettino has been purring at his summer acquisitions of midfielders Moussa Sissoko and Kenyan international Victor Wanyama.
While Wanyama arrived much earlier with a price tag of 11 million pounds, Sissoko was a big money catch on the final day of the transfers, signed from Newcastle United for a fee of 30 million.
The arrival of the two has without doubt strengthened the side and Pochettino, describing their perceived impact in the team, said it is like building your own car and having it personalized.
“It’s like when you build your own car and put in different options.
“I think Wanyama and Sissoko are not only strong, big guys, they can play good football too. They have very good skill. It’s a good balance.” He told Daily Mirror.
Wanyama has started each game since he arrived at White Hart Lane while Sissoko got his debut in the 4 – 0 win over Stoke City on Saturday 10 September.
