In the Serie round-up this week, we take a look at how the teams fared over the weekend in round 29 of matches, as the end of the season draws ever closer.

Leaders Juventus kept the pace with a 1-0 win over Sassuolo, while Inter Milan were 2-1 better than Bologna. Empoli and Sampdoria shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw, while there was also no victor in the Chievo versus Milan game as it ended in a goalless draw.

AS Roma continued their impressive run with a 2-1 win at Udinese, while Genoa beat Torino 3-2 in a thrilling encounter. Fiorentina and Verona played a 1-1 draw, while Carpi defeated Frosinone 2-1.

Lazio defeated Atalanta 2-0 at the Stadio Olimpico and Palermo were beaten 1-0 at home by Napoli, who made sure they kept the chase with Juventus.

At the end of the round, Juventus maintain their lead, with 67 points, while Napoli kept the chase and are only three points adrift. Roma remained third on 59 points, Fiorentina, Inter and AC Milan are fourth, fifth and sixth with 54, 54, and 48 points respectively.

Sassuolo, Lazio, Bologna and Chievo make up the top half of the table after 29 rounds of matches.

At the foot of the table, Verona still sits pretty, despite the draw they recorded, and Carpi and second from bottom despite their win over the weekend. Frosinone occupy the final relegation spot.

Meanwhile, Palermo, Udinese and Atalanta also run the risk of entering the relegation dog fight, as only as only four points separate them from the relegation zone.
