Kakamega Homeboyz head coach Mike Mururi failed to lead his side past league leaders Tusker in the two sides’ Kenyan Premier League (KPL) clash on Sunday 21 August coming from a big win over AFC Leopards and he has called on his charges to focus on the next game, against Muhoroni Youth.
Danson Kago scored the only goal in the second half as the hosts bagged an important 1 – 0 win and the coach conceded defeat, whilst calling for a better show in the next game.
He laid all the blame on a lack of focus and poor concentration but wants to see a correction.
“We played well in that match but a moment of lack of concentration cost us dearly; we did well in the first half but we did not make use of the chances we created. It is a loss we have to live with and we will have to work for corrections ahead of the next match.
The loss saw Homeboyz drop to sixth on the league table with 36 points and the fall could be greater with midweek matches on the cards as well.
