The Merseyside club sold two first team players for a good sum on Thursday.
Reds winger Jordon Ibe fell out of the reckoning from this year, and has now joined Bournemouth on a four-year deal for £15m. It’s a record for Bournemouth, who hope to get better success with him than they had with South African Tokelo Rantie in attack.
For a 20-year-old Ibe had done well to make 58 appearances for Liverpool but it was felt that he hadn’t progressed as successfully as hoped last season.
“We’re looking forward to seeing him to grow, he’s a huge prospect,” said chief executive of Bournemouth Neil Blake.
Slovak defender Martin Skrtel moved to Fenerbahce.
