Real Madrid offer for Benitez has been rejected

Argentine club Independiente has revealed that an offer from Real Madrid for 21 – year old attacker Martin Benitez has been rejected.

Real Madrid was reported to have moved for the player who rose through the Independiente ranks before making his debut for the senior team in 2011 but the club vice president Noray Nakis says an offer for a loan deal was rejected.

Quoted on, Nakis states that the player will only be released if he will go directly to play for Real Madrid and his offer comes just hours before the transfer window closes.

“He is a very important player for us. We do not accept the offer from Madrid for them to then send him on loan to another club.

“Madrid want him to go to another club to get more experience. But Martin is very good and he has potential, so because of that, if he leaves he must go there directly to play.” He said.
