The Kenya national women’s team, Harambee Starlets have stepped up preparations for their upcoming fixture with call ups to two experienced players Martha Karimi who captained the national team during the African Women Championship against the Amavubi of Rwanda and Millicent Mwanzia who plays for Ugandan side Lady Cardinals
Starlets will play Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) on Saturday 5 March in the first leg of the qualifiers and the coach, David Ouma will be looking to reap from the experienced players in the team.
A total of 23 players have so far reported to camp as per the Thursday session.
Other new players called up include former under-17 national team player Margaret Nyambura, Anita Adongo Mwanahalima Adam, Monica Nyambura and Tartar’s duo Victoria Okochi and Caroline Chemayiet who will replace Linda Auma who is injured.
