Training ground bust up lands Origi in trouble

Kenyan international Arnold Origi sat out as his Norwegian top flight side Lillestrom took in Odd on Sunday 11 September 2016 following a training ground bust up with team mate Bassel Zakaria Jradi on Friday 9 September.

The bust up, which culminated in a scuffle, as reported in the Norwegian media was not the first between the two players and it forced head coach Rúnar Kristinsson to ban the two.

“The players landed in trouble in training, and they are therefore not included in the squad,” said Coach Kristinsson was quoted by

The two are said to have been at loggerheads again in April in the run up to a league match.

It came at a wrong time, with the team reeling from a bad season in the league which has the team at the wrong end of the table, staring at relegation after a bad run that sees the team just above the drop zone goal difference.

While the two missed the match, Odd whacked Lillestrom 4 – 2 to leave Origi’s team with just a win in the last 13 matches in the league with just seven games left to the close of the season.
