Troubled Kenyan Premier League (KPL) side AFC Leopards registered a 2 -1 win over Ligi Ndogo in a friendly match staged at the Nyayo National Stadium on Saturday as the team kicked off its preseason engagements.

The team has been conducting trials since the start of the month and it was new signing Kepha Aswani who shone the brightest on the afternoon.

AFC Leopards head coach Jan Koops fielded a number of the team’s newly signed players, apart from Aswani. The other new players who featured in the game were Dennis Nzomo, Yusuf Juma, Jimmy Bageya, Kennedy Owino and Alfred Wekesa.

Aswani got the opener on the second minute but Ingwe were pegged back on the 36th minute by Chris Ogutu and on the stroke of half time, Aswani restored the lead.

Coach Jan Koops fielded one team in the first half, skippered by Lucas Indeche and a different one in the second half skippered by midfielder Khalid Jumaan.
