James Salinsa Debbah is the outgoing coach, resigning for the second time in the past month, and former Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah is believed to be his successor.
Liberia’s failure to beat Togo in their 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers has promoted the change.
Appiah will move to Liberia, leaving his current Sudan club Al Khartoum SC.
“A lot of young Liberian players will find success under Appiah,” a Liberian Football Association source told the New Liberian.
“A lot of young Liberian players will find success under Appiah.
“He is someone we think we can work with given his immense experience and technical abilities. He is definitely a good coach.”
Appiah has the experience of taking the Black Stars to the 2014 Fifa World Cup in Brazil.
