Gor Mahia youth team will be conducting trials in a bid to come up with a team to play in the National Division Two League which is scheduled to kick off in March.
The trials, as posted on the club’s official website, will be conducted at the Makongeni Sports Grounds starting Tuesday 23rd February up to Friday 26th February as from 9am to 11.30 am Kenyan time each of those days.
The process will be conducted by the Gor Mahia Youth team technical bench and will be strictly monitored to avoid age cheating and any other malpractices as confirmed by Gor Mahia Fans Foundation chairman Manaseh Otieno who also called on players from outside Nairobi to organize for their own accommodation.
“The youth team will be holding trials for the U-18 team between Tuesday and Friday next week. We are calling upon all young footballers who are eligible to come showcase their talents for possible selection. Age cheating will lead to automatic disqualification and birth certificates will be needed for proof.” he said.
“Those from outside Nairobi are requested to find friends or relatives who can accommodate them since the team won’t carter for it. Players will be selected on merit as it has happened in the past,” he said.
The team of players selected will also feature in the KPL U19 tournament.
