The Ugandan national team, Cranes is on the brink of qualifying for the 2017 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Gabon and as the team heads to the last of the qualifying matches midfielder Khalid Aucho says they will give their all for the chance.
The team will be hosting minnows Comoros in the last game of Group D and Aucho is keen to have it all wrapped up.
Uganda last qualified for AFCON in 1978, and 38 years down the line, the team has the chance to make it right after failing at the last hurdle in the past three campaigns.
“We are going to do what we are required to, simply winning. We shall do our best to qualify this time round. Everyone in the country knows that this is our day, they are much sure that we are heading there and we are not going to let them down.
“We want to prove that we deserve the slot. We have done enough preparations waiting for the day and we can only hope for the best at the end of the day,” he said.
Cranes are second in Group D with ten points, similar to Burkina Faso who have a better goal difference.
