AFC Leopards striker Kepha Aswani has been feted as the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) March Player of the Month as voted by fans, and duly awarded in an event at the team’s training base at the Marist College on Tuesday 19th April.
The striker has been a key player for AFC Leopards so far in the season and his good form in the month of March saw his team rise to the summit of the Kenyan Premier League (KPL).
Speaking during the awarding, Aswani thanked his team mates, coaches and fans as well as family for pushing him to be a better player and dedicated to them the accolade won.
“I am happy to be voted the player of the month and this, coming from the fans is something special because in a team like Ingwe, the fans play a very big role.
“My team mates and coaches have also been motivating me greatly and pushing me both in matches and in training to do better. I want to thank them in a very special way because without them I can’t say I’d be here.
“My family has also been of great support to me as I look to get to my best,” he said.
The award came with a Kshs 10,000 reward and personalized trophy.
