Morgan Gould has failed to break into the Kaizer Chiefs over the past season, mainly due to fitness issues and the difficulty of getting through a highly stocked squad of defenders.
Katlego Mashego hardly got a chance at Mamelodi Sundowns due to the first choice attackers forming a deadly partnership that led the club to the PSL title.
Mashego had history at the previous club known as Highlands Park Silver Stars (now Platinum Stars), which he helped to fourth place in the PSL.
The Lions of the North secured promotion to the elite league after winning the PSL Promotion/Relegation Playoffs, it’s said that they are looking for some experience to guide them through a tough but turbulent campaign ahead in the top-flight.
They are looking at Gould and Mashego for assistance in that regard. Whether they will be able to acquire their services remains to be seen given that both these players will not come cheap given their high-profile nature and lucrative salary packages that comes along.
Gould managed to make only nine appearances, while Mashego featured three times for his club.
If not a move to Highlands Park which could break down due to personal terms, the likes of Gould have the option at looking at the Indian Super League.
