Ushuru FC head coach Ken Kenyatta has heaped the blame on the match referee George Mwai in their Saturday 24 September trip to Mumias where his team faced hosts Kakamega Homeboyz and managed a 1 – 1 draw.
Ebrima Sanneh scored for Ushuru FC and the visitors seemed on course for a win but a late goal saw Homeboyz equalize and the coach had very few kind words directed at the center referee.
He complained about calls that consistently seemed to go the way of the home team, including additional minutes on the added time, within which the hosts leveled through Steven Wakhanya.
“It was a good game from my boys and I think we deserved a win here, only that the referee seemed to have an agenda against my team. He had very suspicious calls against my team and when the time had elapsed he allowed the match to continue until they equalized.
“We are at a point in the season where we can’t allow such things to happen in our matches and I think the authorities need to come in and investigate this issue of poor officiating,” he said.
