Former Kenya U23 man Joseph Kuria has left Thika United and will henceforth ply his trade for the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) side Ulinzi Stars starting 2016.
The midfielder’s contract at Thika United elapsed on the second week of December and he chose not to renew, instead seeking a move outside Thika for the first time in his career.
According to the Ulinzi Stars Officer in Charge Cpt Joe Birgen the team has agreed on all the terms with the midfielder, the only remaining part being the documentation from his former team.
The belief at Ulinzi Stars is that the player will make the team stronger than it was in 2015 and challenge more for honors.
“Ulinzi Stars and the midfielder have agreed on terms and we are just waiting for the paperwork to be finished, most of it from the Thika United side. After that he will be free to play for us on a three year deal.
“His addition to the team is very important and we believe he will make the team stronger in the midfield and as a whole,” he said.
