The Kenya U20 national team preparing for the game against their Sudanese counterparts on Sunday 3 April continued with training on Saturday 26 March at the Moi International Sports Center (MISC) Kasarani.
While at camp, the team’s head coach John Kamau has named Gor Mahia youngster Amos Nondi the team skipper.
Nondi, 19, will have Thika United midfielder Eugene Mukangula as the assistant captain and Laiser Hill High School’s John Macharia serving as the second assistant captain.
“It was agreed amongst ourselves that Nondi will be our captain assisted by Mukhangula. We are also grooming Macharia to be one in the future therefore will be the second assistant captain. He is a young player who given responsibility, can drive the team,” Kamau said.
The team was visited by the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) president Nick Mwendwa in camp on Saturday as the preparations for the match continue.
