Point against Gor not bad, says Bageya

They may have gone to the clash with the champions in search of that first win of the season but it never came to be as Nairobi City Stars played to a 2 – 2 draw with Gor Mahia in the Saturday 12 March clash at the Nyayo Stadium.

City Stars forward Jimmy Bageya got the opener and provided the assist for the second as City Stars registered their third draw of the season and speaking afterwards the Ugandan noted that a point against Gor Mahia was good enough.

His concern however, is the length of time they are taking to get that first win of the season and he says it has to do with the team’s wastefulness in front of goal.

“I think we played well and gave a good account of ourselves against a tough opposition, remember they are the champions so a point from the match was not too bad. We wanted a win but that could not come so we take in the point earned; I am not disappointed.

“The only concern for us is the fact that we still have not gotten our first win of the season and I think that is because we do not make use of the chances we create. I really hope we will get better after the international break,” he said.
