Barcelona have identified Ajax goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen as the ideal replacement for outgoing Claudio Bravo, the Daily Mail reports.

According to the report, the Spanish champions have already made a bid of £10m for the Holland international as they prepare for the exit of Bravo to Manchester City.

Barcelona are believed to have agreed to sell Bravo to City, but will not do so until they find a replacement and they appear to have found one in Cillessen, despite already talking to Valencia about their goalkeeper Diego Alves.

Discussions with Valencia have stalled however, as the goalkeeper is also reported to be talking to Sevilla.

Barca are however expected to reach a deal with Ajax in a matter of days, and then they will sanction Bravo’s move to England.

New Manchester City boss is believed to be looking for a goalkeeper that can the ball out from the back, something like a ‘sweeper-keeper’, and has identified the Chilean as his ideal man, despite initially courting his Barcelona teammate, Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

The move to City will almost signal the end of Joe Hart’s stay at the club, with the England goalkeeper reported to be seeking a loan move away so he can get regular first team action.
