James Omondi, the Muhoroni Youth head coach managed to fashion a victory over AFC Leopards to see his team return to winning ways in the 1 – 0 result at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu.
The win, coming in the wake of a loss to Gor Mahia was a welcome one for the coach and in his post match comments he stated that the result sits well with their ambition to finish the first leg in a respectable position.
The team next faces newly promoted Kakamega Homeboyz and Omondi said he wants to see more of the same spirit in the match, the ambition being to hit 26 points for the first 15 matches.
“At the start of the game I said we were playing at home and we are gunning for three points to aid in our push for a top half finish at the end of the first leg with a target of 26 points and I think we are well on course.
“Remember the last time we lost and we had to recover so the boys played to the expectation; everything went just fine and I am happy we won and I want us to keep with the same spirit as we go to the match against Kakamega Homeboyz,” he said,
