Thika United’s surge to rise from relegation danger suffered a blow as the team was pegged back by Muhoroni Youth in the Saturday 13 August Kenyan Premier League (KPL) outing which ended 1 – 0 in favor of hosts Muhoroni Youth.
The team’s coach James Nandwa noted that the loss was a blow to them and speaking to the club’s official website thikaunitedfc.com, he termed the loss a disappointment as he partly blamed it on the officiating.
Thika United have an extended period before they take on Bandari FC in their next game and the coach wants to see a more clinical side.
“The Muhoroni loss was a disappointment to us all and poor judgement calls cost us the game but we shall be back stronger and more clinical in our next matches,” he is quoted as saying.
Thika United is in 13th place on 23 points, just eight points above the drop zone after the latest loss.
