Francis Kimanzi, the Tusker FC head coach has stepped aside after series on unconvincing results posted by the team in league and cup action in the recent past.
The coach led his team to a disappointing loss in the GOtv Shield on Saturday 10 October and has seen the team sink to seventh place in the KPL standings, which informed his decision to step aside and though he was unreachable on phone, the club chairman James Musyoki confirmed the development.
Musyoki said the coach felt vacating the post would be for the team’s good and noted that he may or may not return to the team.
“We have not fired Kimanzi, he just stepped aside because results were not going the team’s way and it was becoming a big concern for everyone. He is very keen about results and has shown a lot of professionalism even at the hardest times so now he opted to move aside and see if the team will register better results.
“He may come back or not but for the time being we will look for a replacement from within,” he said.
