Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has predicted that midfielder Jack Wilshere will one day manage the club.
The Gunners’ boss believes the England midfielder has got the onions to be a manager in the future and one day be the Arsenal boss.
“Certainly one day he will be in my seat,” said Wenger.
“He has a real football brain and understands football. You know really, it’s in his genes.
“I see him in the future at this club of course. He will spend his life in football, he is a football man.
“He has an eye on everybody, it’s in him. You have that or you haven’t got it, but he is a real football man.”
The Arsenal manager also says Wilshere will return to Arsenal after his year-long loan spell at Bournemouth and has got a future at the Emirates beyond his playing days.
“I see him in the future at this club. I think he can be a player here. Personally, I hope he stays here for his whole career. He is a real Arsenal man, as well.
“I want him to extend (his contract), yes. I don’t know when, I think around December.”
