AFC Leopards youngster Jack Bruno has registered tremendous growth at the team after his elevation from the club’s junior team and he was in inspiring form in the GOtv Shield round two clash against Kakamega Homeboyz at the Mumias Sports Complex on Sunday 31 July.
He got his second straight start for the team and grabbed both assists as AFC Leopards ran out 2 – 0 winners with goals from Yusuf Suf and John Ndirangu and he says he is happy with the progress he has had, most of which he attributes to his team mates.
He knows he has to make full use of the chance handed to him by head coach Ivan Minnaert and having started ahead of lead striker and assistant captain Kepha Aswani, he knows the expectations on his shoulders.
“So far I am happy with the progress and I am glad at the support I have been getting from my team mates and I am looking to grow even more in the team. Earlier on I had an injury but I am back and fortunately, I am getting a lot of playing time, which I know I must make good use of, especially in the KPL.
“We I help my team to win like I did today I go home a very happy man; I am thankful to the coaches for the help and I want to stay fit to be able to do so even more,” he said.
