Stoke City’s Welsh manager Mark Hughes happy with his big signing

Stoke City have recorded the biggest transfer deadline day deal in England after capturing Giannelli Imbula from Porto for £18.3m.

The Potters  have smashed their transfer fee record to land the Belgium-born France Under-21 international on a five-and-a-half-year contract.

The big investment is seen as a sign of ambition for Mark Hughes’ side hoping to play their way into Europe this season.

This is the second time Stoke are breaking their transfer record after doing same earlier for Shakiri.
