Ogunbote not sure of 3SC stay

Shooting Stars coach Gbenga Ogunbote may quit the Oluyole Warriors ahead of next season.

Ogunbote who told reporters that he was satisfied with 3SC’s performance last season disclosed that he must bolster the squad if he must remain at the club for the coming season.

“I don’t know if I’d be returning to the team but if I do we must recruit players of like qualities to compete for places in the team,” he told reporters after the game at the Mountain of Fire football pitch on Friday.

“We did well by avoiding the drop and we must build on that for next season. And I will like to add some players in every department,”

Ogunbote was also delighted to see the duo of Jamiu Alimi and Ibrahim Attah in the Home Eagles provisional squad for the African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Rwanda next year.

He tipped the Sunday Oliseh side to win the title. He said: “We have a good team and a coach with a visionof how he wants to play. So he needs enough time and support to deliver,”

“They are good players that will offer Oliseh’s team something different and most delighted to see Attah who was one of the key players last season.”
