Head Coach of the Egypt U 23 team, Hossam Al Badri has confessed that his team had it rough against Nigeria’s Dream Team VI in Wednesday’s Group B tie in M’Bour.
In his post-match analysis, Coach Hossam said coming from two goals down was no mean feat and now the target for his team will be to finish strong against Mali on Saturday.
“It was a difficult game for us. We were down to two goals from penalties, and we had to come back stronger. The Egypt Coach stated.
He continued: “It was very complicated for the players but they responded in the second half. We dominated in the second half and we deservingly equalized”.
Now with some glimmer of hope, the Egypt gaffer said victory over Mali in their last group game is no longer negotiable.
“We have to win against Mali to boost our chances. We still have a chance”. The Egypt Coach asserted.
Going into the final round of group games, Egypt are third on the log with 2 points from two games.
