Western Stima head coach Henry Omino has lauded the dedication from his technical bench in the wake of the team’s fine run in the second half of the 2016 Kenyan Premier League (KPL) season.
Just one loss in the last nine matches has placed the team well on course to win the GOtv Shield and finish in the top half of the league and the coach is convinced the good returns are as a result of the contribution of the bench.
Kenya U20 assistant coach Hesbon Nyabinge was added to the bench to serve as a third assistant coach alongside Ramadhan Balala and Ben Roberts Mandela and Omino says the move to expand the bench was a right one.
“We have do so well because of the dedication I get from the members of the bench; the second half of the season has been good and that for a large part can be attributed to the big bench we have, which is also made up of experienced heads.
“Nyabinge joined us recently to further expand the bench and we have benefitted a lot from his output. Hiring him was definitely a good move and he is working well with the other two,” Omino said.
