Oshaniwa wins away with Hearts in Scotland

Super Eagles full-back Juwon Oshaniwa was on parade to help his Scottish side Heart of Midlothian FC to a hard fought 1-0 away victory against Dundee United.

The Nigerian international who has been a constant figure in the coach Robby Neilson lead Hearts side since arriving Scotland from Israel in the summer bagged 71 minutes of action before being taken off for Liam Smith.

Oshaniwa has so far this season made nine starts from nine league features for the Hearts.

Juanma Delgado’s 16th-minute penalty proved enough to send Hearts back to third spot in the Ladbrokes Premiership while Dundee United are now four points adrift at the bottom of the log.

While Oshaniwa and his troops defended well to seal their first win in six league games, Dundee United lacked creativity and again looked vulnerable at the back on a afternoon that Mixu Paatelainen suffered defeat in his first match as Dundee United manager.
