Hakeeb Adelakun has extended his contract with English League One club Scunthorpe until June 2018.
The 19-year-old of Nigerian decent has already made 88 appearances for the Iron, scoring eight goals.
Adelakun told Scunthorpe’s official website: “It feels great, and I just want to kick on and help the team fight for a place in the play-offs.
“There is a lot to look forward to at the club. It’s great to have that comfort (of knowing my future), and know I can get my head down, focus and help push the club forward.”
Adelakun started out with premier league outfit West Ham United before joining Scunthorpe.
