Former Ghanaian international Kevin-Prince Boateng continued his resurrection in Spain with his second goal for Las Palmas beat Granada 5-1 in a La Liga fixture.
The 29-year-old who scored just once in eleven appearances for AC Milan last season began his career in Spain with a bang as he scored in their opening day 4-2 away win over Valencia.
He continued with his good form as he netted another goal against Granada and it was in similar fashion as he headed past the keeper to give his side a 2-1 lead after Boga had cancelled out El Zhar’s opener.
El Zhar went on to complete his brace while Momo and Araujo completed a 5-1 rout to hand the newly promoted side six points with nine goals in their opening two fixtures in the 2016/17 La Liga season.
After the game Boateng dedicated his goal to the victims of the devastating earthquake that rocked central Italian cities, including Amatrice, Accumoli and Pescara del Tronto where nearly 300 people were killed.
La Palmas are currently top of the Spanish La Liga after two games but could they be the Leicester City of Spain this season, fingers crossed as we watch events unfold.
