The much anticipated meeting of Chris Giwa and Amaju Pinnick by the House of Representatives Committee on Sports held on Thursday at the National Assembly behind closed doors, but it has emerged both parties have been advised to reach a compromise.
Giwa and Pinnick have been embroiled in a legal battle over the leadership of Nigerian football, with the case dragging since 2014, when both men were supposedly elected into office as president of the Nigeria Football Federation.
But while it remains unclear the exact details of what was discussed, it is believed both men have been told they must reach a compromise in order to end the lingering crisis.
Chairman of the committee, Bukar Goni and members of the committee only heard from Giwa and Pinnick, as every other person stayed outside while the meeting lasted for over three hours.
The meeting will continue next Tuesday, with an end to the crisis looking very much in sight.
