Eagles camp expected to swell with Onazi, Rohr

According to FCNaija.com, Super Eagles Technical Adviser Gernot Rohr, Ogenyi Onazi and a host of players are set hit camp this morning ahead of the 2017 African Nations Cup match against Tanzania.

Rohr was scheduled to be in camp yesterday but failed make it after his flight from Lagos to Uyo was cancelled yesterday. The German released a list of 23 players for the encounter and named a Tuesday deadline for the arrival of all invited players.

One of those players is Trabzonspor new holding midfielder Ogenyi Onazi who breezed into the country yesterday from his base in Turkey and will leave this morning for the venue of the match.

The 23-year-old has started brightly in Turkey as he has scored twice in the two appearances he has made for the club so far this season. He played for 55 minutes last weekend as his side slumped to a 1-0 away defeat to Gaziantepspor.

More players are expected to arrive camp today for the Tanzania game which is inconsequential as Nigeria won’t be going to the Gabon 2017 African Nations Cup after they failed to get the better of Egypt.

However, the new manager Rohr will expect the boys to turn up and give Nigerians a healthy cheer as he begins life as the new manager of the Super Eagles.

Players already in camp includes: Emmanuel Daniel, Jamiu Alimi, Brown Ideye, Victor Osimhen, William Troost-Ekong, Imoh Ezekiel & Musa Mohammed.
