Nigerian striker, Brown Ideye, opened his goal account on Sunday for Olympiacos Piraeus in their 2-0 away win against PAOK Thessaloniki in the Greek Super League.
And was quick to celebrate his first goal for the club just like how ex Eagles winger Finidi George did when he scored against Grecce at the USA 1994 World Cup.
Ideye scored in the 27th minute to put his side 1-0 ahead and replaced by Alfred Finnbogason on 68 minutes. Olympiacos’ second goal was scored by Luka Milivojevic.
“Great team effort tonight.I give God all the Glory #olympiacos #wekeepdreaming,”
The former West Brom and Dynamo Kiev star has played four League games and scored once for Olympiacos Piraeus since arriving on deadline day and two games in the UEFA Champions League.
The Nigerina international, who has 25 international caps to his name, fell out of manager Tony Pulis’ plans at West Brom after the recent arrivals of strikers Rickie Lambert from Liverpool and Salomon Rondon from Zenit.
The 26-year-old scored just four goals in 26 league appearances for the English club West Brom after joining in July 2014 from Dynamo Kyiv for a then club-record 10 million pounds ($15.4M), but failed to live up to his price tag at The Hawthorns.
