17 Home-based Eagles Opens Camp in PH

17 home-based Super Eagles players have arrived camp for the African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Port Harcourt ahead of the first leg clash against the Etalons of Burkina Faso at the Adokiye Amesieamaka Stadium on October 18.

The team will train twice on Tuesday at 9am and 3.30pm at the Shell ground in Port Harcourt.

The confirmed players in camp at the Presidential Hotel include; Tunde Adeniji (Sunshine Stars), Dayo Ojo (Sunshine Stars),Stephen Eze (Sunshine Stars), Abdulrazaq Abdul (Enyimba FC).

Other include; Idris Aloma (Enyimba FC), Solomon Kwambe (Warri Wolves), Ezekiel Bassey (Enyimba FC),Kalu Orji (Enugu Rangers),Osas Okoro (Enugu Rangers),Jamiu Alimi (Shooting Stars).

Gbolahan Salami, Godwin Obaje, David Obiazor (Heartland FC); Gbolahan Salami, Okemute Odah (Warri Wolves),Bright Onyedikachi (FC IfeanyiUbah) and Bature Yaro (Nasarawa United).

Others expected are the duo of Usman Mohammed and Ifeanyi Mattew.

Assistant coach, Salisu Yusuf will take charge of training in the absence of Sunday Oliseh who is in Belgium with the main Eagles for this week’s international friendlies against Congo and Cameroun.

The return leg fixture comes up in Ouagadougou on October 25.

Meanwhile all six home-based professionals who were picked for the two friendlies in Belgium with the mainstream squad, against Congo DR and Cameroon, on October 8 and 11 respectively, will join the 19 players on their return to the country on October 12.

These are goalkeepers Femi Thomas (Enyimba FC) and Ikechukwu Ezenwa (Sunshine Stars), defenders Chima Akas (Sharks FC) and Austin Oboroakpo (Abia Warriors), midfielder Paul Onobi (Sunshine Stars) and forward Prince Aggrey (Sunshine Stars).
