Former Nigeria international, Femi Ajilore is quite positive that the Super Eagles will come out tops over their tough Group B opponents in the qualification matches for the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup and seal the ticket for their sixth World Cup finals appearance.

Ajilore who at the moment plays for Danish 2nd Division West club Middelfart Fodbold said there was no cause for alarm in what has been  dubbed a “Group of death”

The Super Eagles were drawn in Group B for the qualification race to Russia 2018 alongside Cameroon, Southern Africa foes Zambia and North African ‘enemy’ Algeria.

“For me ,the Super Eagles are the best team in the continent for now they have got young players now , they have the best players coming out of the African continent and playing their best football in Europe. So, I’m confident it will not be a problem for the Eagles to top their group, they failed to qualified for the nations cup , so for sure they all know what it’s at stake to be in Russia because the World Cup it’s another game entirely,” Ajilore said.

While staying positive, Ajilore enjoined the NFF to the needful by naming a coach for the national team without any the delay

“But first thing is for the nff to appoint a coach as soon as posible so that at least ,it will put the players in shape ahead of the qualifiers”.

Ajilore played with the Nigerian U-23 national team in the 2008 Beijing and won the silver medal. He also made his debut for the Super Eagles against Colombia on 19 November 2008.
